Today 11 February 2010
Brown Me Ltd and their online self tan boutique BrownMe.com today sent out a message to all major self tan vendors. Following its recent partnership with giants Fake Bake, Brown Me has reported a surging increase in online sales. A Brown Me spokes person this week said 'We have grown organically over the past six months and have attracted a number of investors and larger online retailers. Although this is very flattering we are keen to continue with our own service delivery model'. The online retail market is clearly increasing as high streets across Europe report further slumps and losses. Online retailers like BrownMe.com are providing the new generation of beauty shopper with exactly what they are looking for. It is clear to see why there are keen eyes watching!

Brown Me Impresses Journalist
Brown Me was formed when a group of entrepreneurial socialites got together to discuss their next weekend out. After viewing Facebook and making remarks on the amount of individuals wearing self tan it became apparent that their was a huge demand. Anyway...those socialites got together and researched the market hard for three months and found one of the catchiest most marketable names to hit the beauty industry since the likes of Fake Bake and Sunjunkie! The story doesn’t end there. Anyone that is already a user of www.brownme.com will tell you that you'll always get added extras in your purchases! It is also widely recognised that Brown Me is also the cheapest website on the net for Xen-Tan one of the major premium brands.
www.brownme.com is a relatively new player in the ecommerce beauty market but with their passionate team behind them and Ugly Betty type adventure and excitement they are sure to be a huge niche 'self tan' player in 2010. Some have said they could even be a leader in this market if they market their brand well. We'll be watching closely!

Tips on self tanning
Hey guys sorry for the delay but as you have heard and read BrownMe has been growing much quicker than we had expected so we have been much busier than planned.
Heres a few tips on self tanning :)
Self tanning is one of the latest innovations in tanning products. While cosmetic skin darkeners have been available for many years, it has only been in recent years that these products have become "user friendly." The first self tanning products tended to be messy and caused stains in clothing, on furniture, and (not least of all) on your skin. Today's self-tanning products, on the other hand, tend to be much cleaner, easier to use, and longer lasting. You can do a few things to make sure your self-applied tan is even and lasts a long time.
The key to self tanning and having well applied self-tan is to first understand how self tanning products work. Self-tanning lotions and sprays are designed to attach themselves to the outer layer of your skin, but because your skin cells are constantly dying and being shed, your self-tan will only last about a week. Dry skin sheds faster than moist skin, so if you have dry skin or don't keep it moisturized, your tan will not last as long.
Whether you are using a self tanning product or a spray tanning booth, it is a good idea to exfoliate with a good quality exfoliant, loofah sponge or a pumice brush. Follow up this scrubbing with a good water based moisturizer, especially on the knees and elbows, which tend to be dryer than the rest of your skin. It is best to do this several hours before you apply the self-tan so that the moisturizer does not interfere with the self-tanner. Don't use lotions with oil in them or it may block the self tanning solution from penetrating your skin.
It is important to be prepared. Set aside at least a half hour to apply your self-tan, and be sure that you have a plan for how to reach all the spots where you wish to apply the product. This may mean getting a friend to help you reach your back.

Online Self Tan Purchasing Increases Again
Today 12:15hrs London: BrownMe.com has reported a further increase in growth as its number of purchases during week commencing 12th October 2009 doubled. It is fair to say that the customer service and the feedback given by the BrownMe team on Twitter,
Facebook or through direct email is second to none and this is paying dividends. BrownMe has been cleverly positioned and is on the lips of every fashionable teen and twenty something. Brown Me offer enticing incentives and large reductions on its plethora of products. It is sure to gain yet more interest as word travels between other self tan users. For a relatively new venture, gaining customer confidence has
been a simple step.
Today a Brown Me Ltd representative added ‘of course it is great that we are increasing sales and this of course is our main objective. The more sales, the greater our prices can be discounted and the better we can operate for our customers. The real underlying success story here is the more new customers we create, the less likely they are to use sun beds’.
Though this industry seems like a new one, it has actually been around for a number of years and it hasn’t really had a niche player that was focused directly on ‘just’ self tan delivery to consumers through the internet. A DHA based tan looks very similar in colour to a standard brown UV based suntan. But you are able to achieve the equivalent colour, of many hours of intense UV exposure, in a single product
application. The products are called ‘sunless’ because they do not utilize UV or sun exposure to create the tanned colour. Many lighter skin types find they can get much darker with a DHA based sunless tanner, then they can with UV exposure.
Nobody would dispute that BrownMe is one of those names that puts a smile on your face! It seems that brand name catchiness and service delivery works for the self tan users out there and with the products leaving the shelves in the high street ready for the winter selection, BrownMe should be a hit for those that prefer a winter sun look and cannot get what they like to use in store any longer. Why go out when you can order from work on your lunch break or from home knowing you’ll be getting your packet or parcel delivered direct to your hand recorded delivery?

U.K Winter Sun From BrownMe
As we make our way into cooler temperatures and shorter days, that doesn’t necessarily mean we have to sport “Twilight” pale skin quite yet (though the vamp look is so in now, right?). For those of us who want to maintain a rich bronze glow without looking like a carrot — Xen-Tan self tanner is the perfect option.
Xen-Tan Mousse Intense
In addition to developing into a rich, natural glow sans streaks, Xen-Tan passed our discerning sniffer test with flying colors. The product has a light vanilla scent that dissipates quickly after application, so it doesn’t compete with other scents you may wear. The colour itself lasts well, and we found that reapplying after four days was the ideal time to maintain the rich glow, though the product literature says it may last up to a week.
As for application, be sure to wear gloves. The instructions advise you to wash your hands thoroughly after rubbing in the lotion, but we found that the color was just too strong to fully come off with a strong washing, leaving our palms a little too olive for our liking. When we used plastic gloves the next go-around (you can buy them at any drugstore), there was no problem, and we simply dabbed a bit of product on the back of our hands after removing them. Since Xen-Tan has a rich formula, you need to wait about five minutes before dressing in order to make sure the product is fully soaked in. But once it is, in two to three hours, you’ll be beautifully bronzed.
Xen-Tan products are available as lotions, spray mists and mousses. You can purchase them online at www.brownme.com.
